hard of hearing question?

i am very hard of hearing for which i wear a hearing aid unfortunately i cannot wear these when i have to use Headphones,such as in the middle of the night,but the head phones i use do not Supply enough power do any of you know if there is such athing as a small amplifier that will help.at the moment i have tapped into the internal audio in the TV but but no way will the headphones amplify enough.
