how do i take the odor from my gymnastics braces away?

hi, im in gymnastics and i wear wrist supports (ten 0 if that’s good info?) and i also have an ankle brace. yeah so i wash them by hand and and in the washing machine With a bunch of soap and i rub it really hard but the odor wont go away!!!!! it just smells like soap mixed in with a lot of sweat! does anybody know of a product or any homemade mixture or something that will take the odor away?

stick them in a zip lock with plain old shredded newspaper and a few tablespoons of baking soda… also white vinegar spritzed and lay them out in the sun to dry… vinegar is amazing!!!
