Hi, for two weeks, I managed to stab myself in the wrist with a hunting knife (not on purpose, just stupid). about 1 cm or less on my wrist. It took three stitches, and was not super deep, but it left me with two numb fingers and pain. My doctor says it is "the worst place to harm "because of the narrowness of the channel and bundle of nerves there. I close, but can not open my hand all the way through the pain. I wonder: 1. What are the best things you can do to help healing – ie, vitamins, herbs, therapy, etc. 2. What should I avoid? Typing is fine, for example? 3. What can reasonably expect in terms of time – the time until the pain (and numbness) stops? Comment 4. At what point, if not stopped, I have to go to a nerve / hand specialist?
